Is this statement still valid today - "You should not yet trust it to secure data."? And if yes, then what is here the exact meaning of secure: "encryption may fail" or "keep a copy of data elsewhere" or combination of those or something else?

You should not yet trust it to secure data.
Devices will not yet be able to decrypt history from before they joined the room.
Encrypted messages will not be visible on clients that do not yet implement encryption.

Enheter vil ennå ikke kunne dekryptere historikken fra før de ble med i rommet.
Krypterte meldinger vil ikke være synlige på klienter som ennå ikke implementerer kryptering.
