Is this statement still valid today - "You should not yet trust it to secure data."? And if yes, then what is here the exact meaning of secure: "encryption may fail" or "keep a copy of data elsewhere" or combination of those or something else?

You should not yet trust it to secure data.
Devices will not yet be able to decrypt history from before they joined the room.
Encrypted messages will not be visible on clients that do not yet implement encryption.
Ni ddylech ymddiried ynddo eto i sicrhau data.
Ni fydd dyfeisiau eto'n gallu dadgryptio hanes cyn iddynt ymuno â'r ystafell.
Ni fydd negeseuon wedi'u hamgryptio i'w gweld ar gleientiaid nad ydynt eto'n gweithredu amgryptio.
